Lanta Grand House
Description
A large shared balcony facing the hills, Long Beach within walking distance, and rooms with enough floor space for an actual suitcase: Lanta Grand House is built for keeping Koh Lanta affordable without sleeping in a dorm.
The better rooms sit at the back, away from the main-road traffic, and some have their own small balcony. Expect simple furnishings, air conditioning in many rooms, storage, hot showers, daily water and fresh towels. This is a base camp, not a resort with infinity-pool aspirations (thankfully, nobody has tried to install one in the hallway).
Ree can sort scooter hire, taxis, ferry transfers and island trips, which is handy after a long travel day. Kohub is close enough for remote workers, while 7-Eleven, local restaurants, laundry and Long Beach are all nearby.
Book a rear room if sleep matters. The front of the house faces the main road, and the road has no interest in your holiday plans.

- Long Beach, restaurants, minimarts and Kohub are within walking distance
- Scooter hire, transfers and island trips can be arranged on site
- Walls are thin between some rooms
- Bathrooms are basic, with limited ventilation and low shower pressure
