House 2 has a huge living room, proper kitchen, two bedrooms and its own pool just outside – the sort of layout that stops a family holiday becoming an endurance sport. The other apartments and cottages are equally well equipped, with kitchens, roomy interiors and practical bits such as a high chair.
Pat and Serge keep the place immaculate, from the tropical garden to the compact pool area. It feels residential, green and built for staying a week or three, not merely dropping bags before heading elsewhere.
Shops, restaurants, minimarts and ATMs sit within walking distance, with beach bars nearby. The closest stretch of beach is not for swimming, so treat this as a well-positioned base for exploring Lanta’s better sand and sea.
Electricity and water are charged separately, so leave the air-con running all day only if your holiday budget has acquired a private yacht. Car rental can be arranged on site, which is useful for reaching the island’s quieter beaches and southern roads.
