Description
Four bathrooms for two dorms is the sort of maths that makes hostel life far less theatrical. Lazy Garden keeps the practical bits sharp: roomy dorms, private showers, air-conditioned rooms, electronic key cards, and beds that are actually built for sleeping.
The centrepiece is the open-air Thai wooden house in the middle, surrounded by newer little accommodation blocks. It is a proper hangout space for reading, tea, coffee, biscuits, water refills, and the occasional long conversation that began as “where are you from?” and somehow reached childhood pets.
Long Beach is walkable, with restaurants nearby, while the hostel sits far enough back to avoid the road-side churn. Scooters are available on site, which turns Lazy Garden into a sensible launch point for Old Town, Kantiang Bay, and every roadside fruit shake stall between them.
The social side stays optional. Blanco’s evening events are within reach via the sister-hostel taxi, so dorm regulars can find a party without converting their own bed into one. Beds have no privacy curtains, so light sleepers and midnight screen-scrollers should bring an eye mask.
