Description
A small pool sits among dense greenery, with a handful of modern bungalows and rooms tucked back from the main road. Veranda Lanta is for travellers who want Khlong Nin nearby without sleeping beside its bar traffic.
The three-person rooms are a strong budget pick, with proper air-conditioning, comfortable beds and decent water pressure. Breakfast stays simple: eggs, toast, fruit, tea and coffee. No television in the rooms, which frees up valuable holiday time for staring at a phone instead.
Halal food, the mosque, convenience shops and the main road are all within walking distance. Khlong Nin’s restaurant strip and beach take longer on foot, so rent a scooter if you plan to spend your days hopping between Nui Beach, Khlong Nin and the south-island coves.
Motorbike groups get easy parking, and the resort can arrange scooters, laundry, island transport and tours. Ask for Mr Faris or Mr Boom; the pool-facing rooms are the ones to aim for after a hot ride back from the coast.
