Description
Green curry, kale with crispy pork, and sharp Thai salads give The Lazy Lodge’s restaurant far more purpose than the standard beach-menu filler. The traditional Thai section is the one to back, with proper sour, spicy, savoury balance and enough heat to make the mango smoothie earn its job.
The lodge sits on Klong Khong’s beachfront, with sunset drinks, a compact pool, and bungalow-style rooms behind the sand. Rooms are spacious, calm, and thoughtfully set up, down to Jenga and foot showers outside for removing half of Koh Lanta from your ankles.
Book it for a quiet couple’s stay, slow lunches, and margaritas at sunset. The beach is good for lounging and low-tide walks around the rocks; high tide brings enough depth for a snorkel close to shore.
A scooter is useful for exploring beyond Klong Khong, and nearby bars can carry sound after dark. The beachfront cottages sit back from the water, around 50 metres from the sand, so choose them for the sea view and wave noise.
