Description
The upstairs rooms are the pick: big enough for a dressing area, dining nook, fridge, kettle and a balcony, with the proportions of a small apartment. The blue-door room has its own balcony appeal too, though its fittings are distinctly more adventurous.
Khlong Dao Beach sits about ten minutes away on foot, and 7-Eleven is close enough to solve the late-night water, snacks and sunscreen problem. Restaurants up the road keep meals cheap, while the beach strip is there for anyone keen to pay extra for sand near their chair.
Fast Wi-Fi, daily water, towels and laundry make Smile Place useful for longer stays. Motorbike rental, massages and boat-trip bookings are handled on site, so it doubles as a practical base for getting around without turning holiday logistics into a hobby.
Rooms vary sharply in condition. Pick an upstairs room, check the bathroom fixtures and water pressure on arrival, and favour the larger balcony units for the space alone.
