Description
Sunset over Ba Kan Tiang Bay is the headline here, viewed from Pimalai’s hillside terrace with a cold cocktail in hand. Book an outside table before the light drops; the setting has a habit of turning a simple drink into a full evening.
The kitchen goes international and polished. Start with the white grilled prawns, crab ravioli or lemon ravioli, then look at the grouper, grilled duck with chimichurri, or roasted lamb. The cauliflower steak and truffle risotto give vegetarians a proper dinner, not a plate of apologetic side dishes.
Seven Seas costs more than most of Koh Lanta, and that is entirely the point. This is dinner for anniversaries, birthdays and the sort of holiday evening where sandals suddenly seem insufficiently ceremonial. The cocktail bar’s happy-hour pours and ching-chang fish with peanuts are a fine way to delay deciding what to eat.
Breakfast has an egg station with several Eggs Benedict styles, broad coffee options and a long buffet spread. Dinner’s menu is tighter, so arrive for the terrace, the drinks and a few well-chosen plates.
