Phoenix Divers
Description
Four divers per instructor is the ceiling at Phoenix, and that changes the whole day underwater. Open Water students get proper attention in the pool and at sea, while certified divers aren’t trailing a human conga line through the reef.
The PADI Open Water course runs across three days, with a half-day equipment session before the boat dives. Seb, George, Davide, Harish, Remi, Amber, Marta and the rest of the teaching crew have built a reputation for calm, clear briefings and patient skill practice. Mask removal stops being a small underwater nightmare once somebody explains it properly.
Fun dives cover reef sites and wreck options, with Hin Daeng among the stronger draws for experienced divers. A third dive can be added to the day, and refresher sessions are available before heading deeper. Fast boats reach sites ahead of the slower parade, which leaves more reef and fewer fins in your photographs.
Boat days include hotel pickup, equipment, coffee, soft drinks, doughnuts and lunch. The boats can feel busy, so take the small-group promise as the important number, not the number of bodies eating croissants above water.
