The pad thai earns its name, with fresh wok cooking and sauces that land exactly where they should. Add grilled pork neck, chicken satay, fried morning glory, spicy mango salad or the deep-fried sea bass with mango salad. Mango sticky rice and the kiwi-strawberry smoothies deserve room at the end, which is inconvenient only if you have already behaved like a champion at the curry section.
Vegetarian and vegan dishes have real range here, including papaya salad, larb, spring rolls and curries adapted around dietary needs. Rock music, a small open kitchen and a characterful upstairs room keep it relaxed.
The upstairs tables catch the sea sunset through the trees, though the spiral staircase is narrow. Settle in for a long meal: food is cooked to order and the kitchen gets busy at dinner.
