Description

The Green Guru smoothie and Power Frap are the regulars’ shortcuts through a huge menu that somehow keeps its footing. Oasis does breakfast, Thai plates, burgers, tacos, salads, pasta and cocktails without turning into a culinary car boot sale.

Breakfast is the strongest argument: flat whites, plant milks, sourdough and seed breads, pancakes, bagels, house granola and eggs. The coconut, egg, avocado and cheese bagel lands properly after a beach morning, while the Mediterranean salad and falafel pita keep lunch light without becoming punishment.

Vegetarians have an unusually deep bench here. Vegan versions are available across much of the menu, with tofu Cali burritos, veggie fried rice, cauliflower buffalo wings and pesto pasta all worth ordering. Thai dishes get more attention than the average beach-road menu too, especially somtam with grilled chicken and the three-flavour curries.

The setting is leafy, quiet and faintly boho, with a comfortable terrace, air-conditioned seating and laptop sockets. Mosquitoes gather around the outdoor tables after dark, so take an indoor seat for cocktails and order The Thailander.
