Near & Far Cafe
Description
Back bacon, Cumberland sausage, black pudding, white pudding and Branston beans are all on the breakfast sheet, which is a fairly serious opening statement on Koh Lanta. Near & Far Cafe does a proper build-your-own fry-up, so the plate contains exactly what you meant by “full English”.
Tick fried, poached or scrambled eggs, then add hash browns, buttered mushrooms, eggy bread, plum tomatoes, fresh-cooked tomatoes, lorne sausage or homemade sausages. The sausage rolls are worth a detour too. PG Tips and French-press coffee complete the operation, because tea without a proper bag is just warm brown optimism.
The pick-and-mix format keeps it cheap for a small breakfast and lets a committed breakfast engineer build a plate large enough to require planning permission. Vegetarians can leave out the meat without being sentenced to toast and regret.
Near & Far is for British and Irish breakfast homesickness, not smoothie bowls or delicate brunch plating. Grab a table before the late-morning fry-up crowd settles in; Willow the dog adds a better welcome than most hotel lobbies.
