Moonlight Cuisine
Description
Pomelo salad, Massaman curry and Pad Thai are the safe bets here, with local vegetables doing more than decorative work. The Thai side of the menu has far more conviction than the burger and duck spaghetti, so keep your culinary passport pointed south.
The bar faces Khlong Khong Beach for sunset drinks, while the restaurant has enough space to linger over smoothies, juices and pizza. Cocktails look the part against the fading light; stick to margaritas or fruit drinks if you want flavour with your view.
Breakfast goes broad: hot Thai dishes alongside pancakes, waffles, bacon, beans and bread. It is resort dining, with resort-level prices, but the kitchen earns it on Thai curries, salads and desserts. The buffet is the sensible choice after a late beach-bar evening, assuming your brain has not gone entirely horizontal.
The sea directly outside is wild and not suitable for an easy swim. Use the pool for that, then claim a sunset-facing bar seat before the best tables disappear.
