Lanta Triple Novel
Description
Massaman curry and proper Thai cooking are the headline here, not a token hotel restaurant keeping toast alive. The kitchen turns out the kind of cheap, full-flavoured meals that make eating elsewhere feel needlessly ambitious.
Eight bungalows keep the place small and calm, with roomy interiors, air-con, hot showers, fridges, TVs, safes and a private porch for drying beach gear. Beach towels are provided, and the walk to Khlong Dao Beach takes about five minutes; 7-Eleven is closer, because civilisation has priorities.
Lanta Triple Novel suits travellers who want a clean base near the sand without paying resort prices. Scooter rental, laundry, ferry and trip bookings are all handled on site, so it is particularly useful for a first few nights on Lanta while getting bearings.
Breakfast is cooked fresh, and the restaurant deserves a meal even for anyone sleeping elsewhere. Some beds are firm, and the bungalows do not have blackout curtains, so light sleepers should pack an eye mask.
