Lanta GZ Tour & Travel
Description
Koh Rok and Koh Haa are the routes to book here: private speedboats, longtails, colourful reef fish, and proper snorkelling stops around the limestone islands. The crew know where the coral is healthiest, and early private departures beat the flotilla to the water.
The four-island run is equally strong for a mixed-age boat day. Koh Chueak supplies the snorkelling, Koh Kradan brings the long pale beach, and Emerald Cave provides the theatrical bit – swimming through a dark tunnel into a concealed lagoon, because geology occasionally enjoys showing off.
Private trips are the sensible call for families, nervous snorkellers, or anyone with a fixed plan. Hotel transfers, equipment and lunch are commonly folded into the day, while airport transfers and scooter hire cover the less glamorous logistics.
Longtail engines are loud, and the ride out to Koh Rok gets choppy in open water. Pack earplugs and seasickness tablets; the sea snake and clownfish have no interest in your travel arrangements.
