Lanta Family Resort
Description
Beachfront bungalows sit about 40 metres from the sand, with shady trees, hammocks and a restaurant terrace facing the evening light. This stretch of Klong Khong is good for long sunset walks and cold drinks with your feet in the sand.
The larger beachfront bungalows are the pick, especially for their roomy bathrooms, balconies and proper sea-facing position. Family rooms with bunk beds handle four without turning bedtime into a hostage negotiation. Budget fan rooms are basic, while air-con rooms with a fan are far more sensible in April.
Food comes out on beach tables, with Thai dishes, breakfast options and a bar area with a pool table. Massages happen beside the sea, and reception can sort scooters and island trips. A 7-Eleven and several restaurants sit close by, so this works as a base for riding north to Long Beach or south towards Kantiang.
Klong Khong’s coral and exposed rocks make the water poor for swimming at low tide. Stay here for the sand, sunsets and relaxed bungalow life; ride elsewhere for a proper swim.
