Di Farina
Description
Wood-fired Margherita with a thin, blistered base, proper mozzarella and a sauce that doesn’t taste like it arrived by container ship with bad intentions. Di Farina does Neapolitan-style pizza properly, which is rarer on Koh Lanta than a quiet motorbike after midnight.
The Nduja, Tartufo, Parma and four-cheese pizzas all have a following, while the arrabbiata lands al dente with enough heat to justify its name. Parmigiana, lasagna and tiramisu give the menu some range, though pizza is plainly the point of the exercise. Calzone is the weak link.
Tables spill onto the sand facing the sunset, with covered indoor seating behind them for anyone who prefers dinner without exfoliating their ankles. The room has more polish than most beach restaurants, and the bar takes cocktails seriously: margaritas, daiquiris, house red and coffee all belong in the plan.
This is a treat-dinner address, not a cheap pizza stop. Pay for the dough, imported Italian ingredients and a beach table that turns an ordinary Margherita into a respectable evening.
