The dining platform faces the water and Koh Phee, the odd little island profile that looks faintly like a skull from the right angle. Coconut, banana and passion fruit shakes are properly fruity, not a glass of shaved ice having an existential crisis.
Portions are large, prices stay cheap, and the kitchen handles a broad Thai menu without drifting into tourist-menu wallpaper. Fried rice and pad Thai travel well if the table has overestimated its stomach capacity.
Getting here is part of the deal. The final approach runs down a rough red-dirt and rocky track, so scooters need steady nerves and slow hands; parking up and walking the last stretch is sensible. Sea View Restaurant also rents kayaks and arranges trips towards Talabeng and the nearby islands, making it a strong lunch stop before getting on the water.
