Parking Khlong Chak Waterfall
Description
The wide washed-out patch before the hill is the sensible scooter stop for Khlong Chak Waterfall. From there, the trail follows the river through thick jungle, past a bat cave, and eventually reaches the falls without requiring a mountain rescue beacon.
Keep the river on your side and take the low, flat route where paths split. It is the easiest line through the forest, though shoes will get muddy after rain and wet near the stream. The trail has few signs, so the river is doing most of the navigation work.
The waterfall earns the walk after rain, when the flow has some force behind it. Dry season reduces it to a dribble, which is a lot of jungle effort for a damp rock wall. The surrounding forest and cave make the route more rewarding than a quick roadside waterfall stop.
This parking point sits beside the approach to Walking With Giants, so keep your plans clear before arriving. The reservoir kiosk farther along the route handles national park access; the free roadside space below the hill leaves more room in the budget for dinner in Klong Nin.
