Brown sugar milk tea and soft-serve are the reason to stop at WeDrink on Klong Dao. The brown sugar boba sundae is absurdly cheap, properly creamy, and more filling than its small-shop appearance suggests.
The ice cream has the better texture than most chain soft-serve on the island: light, smooth and not overloaded with sugar. Matcha is a safe pick in the heat. Durian comes in a generously sized cone, though its flavour lands closer to sweet milk than a full durian ambush.
Drinks cover milk tea, fruit juice, lemonade and coffee, with enough choice to turn a quick stop into an ongoing research project. The brown sugar milk tea has the richest flavour of the lot, with chewy pearls and none of the watery sadness found in too many roadside cups.
The shop is small, cute and built for a takeaway pause. Kids will demolish the soft-serve; adults pretending they only wanted coffee will somehow leave holding a sundae.
