Jimmy's Plastic Shop
Description
A mortar and pestle, charcoal, a beach lounger, bedding, an axe and a tarp all live under one dim roof on the main road. Jimmy’s is Klong Dao’s answer to the question, “Where do I buy that?” – a question that becomes surprisingly frequent after moving into a bungalow.
The shelves cover household basics properly: plates, cooking pots, utensils, electrical bits, textiles, plasticware, decorations and stationery. Prices sit in the cheap-to-moderate bracket, with practical, mid-quality gear aimed at stocking a kitchen or replacing the thing that vanished between airport and ferry.
It looks smaller from outside than it is. Inside, the lighting is dim and the stock sprawls, so wandering every aisle can become a minor expedition through parasols and frying pans.
Ask where an item is. Parking is available by the shop, and bulky purchases can go straight into the car – useful for chairs, BBQ kit and the sort of domestic ambition that does not fit in a scooter basket.
