Beautiful Beach
Description
A small sandy bay with rock shelves at either end, clear-water swimming on calm days, and enough tree shade to make arriving early a tactical decision. Beautiful Beach is for towel people, snorkellers, and anyone bored of Long Beach’s long, straight sameness.
The rocky edge is the good bit. Small crabs work the shallows, and the protected corner offers better snorkelling than the open middle when visibility holds. Check the sea before committing: strong waves and cloudy water turn those submerged rocks into an unwanted scavenger hunt.
Two basic beach bars cover cold drinks, smoothies, iced coffee, snacks and ice cream. A beach massage spot and small toilet exist; loungers, umbrellas, showers and bins do not. Bring water, take your rubbish back, and treat the trees as the entire shade department.
The sunset is the proper reason to linger, with the bay framed by rocks and the bars close enough for a cold Chang. Access crosses private land and carries a small entry charge, while the beach route from Mayan Tiki Bar avoids it and has shaded motorbike parking.
