Description

Thai sukiyaki comes as a serious bowl: shrimp, chicken, squid, vegetables and noodles, all doing the work of a full lunch. The fried rice is the other safe bet, properly filling and far better than the sad beige plates that haunt too many roadside menus.

BungAib keeps things direct – big Thai portions, low prices and food arriving without a long sit-down ceremony. Beef with oyster sauce and rice lands well, and pad thai is a solid fallback for anyone temporarily unable to order anything else.

Morning is where this little restaurant earns attention. Hot Thai food is on the table while much of Koh Lanta is still pushing toast, fruit and coffee as if noodles had been outlawed overnight.

Leave the massaman curry alone and stick to the wok dishes or sukiyaki. The room is practical, not posed for photographs; plastic-chair dining is part of the deal, and the food gives it a perfectly respectable reason to exist.
