Kinsenn Lanta
Description
Duck noodle soup, fried basil with duck and teriyaki chicken are the safe bets at Kinsenn Lanta, a broad-menu roadside restaurant near Klong Khong. The teriyaki sauce carries its dish properly, and the duck options give the menu more character than the standard fried-rice parade.
The choice count is frankly absurd for a casual meal: noodle soups, rice plates, shrimp dumplings, crispy wontons, cheesy prawns, tuna croissants, cordon bleu, shakes and desserts. Pea flower soda and passion-fruit shakes are worth a look, while mango sticky rice finishes the job without requiring a second venue.
Prices stay low and portions are solid, making this a useful repeat stop. The modern frontage catches the eye from the road; inside, it is laid-back and practical, with plenty to decipher on the menu (the difficult part is choosing, a problem civilisation has somehow failed to solve).
Leave extra time for noodle soup. Kinsenn runs at its own speed, and the spicy noodle soup is better treated as lunch than a deadline-sensitive expedition.
