Lanta A&J Klong Khong Beach Resort
Description
Massaman curry by the beach is the sensible reason to stay at Lanta A&J, even before the bungalows enter the equation. Jeab’s kitchen turns out proper Thai food, and sunset cocktails on Klong Khong give dinner a front-row seat to the Andaman’s daily light show.
The resort sits directly on the sand at the quieter end of Klong Khong. Beach massages happen just outside, while the line of restaurants and massage huts continues along the shore within walking distance. A 7-Eleven is close by for the bits of holiday logistics nobody photographs.
Rooms range from basic wooden bungalows with shared bathrooms to larger air-conditioned units with private baths. Choose carefully when booking: the cheaper huts are for travellers happy with simple, quiet shelter, while the private rooms bring more space, cold air-conditioning and proper storage.
Jeab’s Dining is the part to linger over, especially at breakfast or around sunset. The beach bar gets lively in the evening with live music, so pick a bungalow away from the restaurant if an early night matters. The firm beds and soft duvets are a rather persuasive argument after a ferry crossing.
