Mother Marche Supermarket 22

Description

Three decent bottles of red, oat milk, insect repellent and PDRN face masks under one roof is a very Koh Lanta shopping list. Mother Marche is the practical stop on Klong Nin for imported staples, wine, larger yoghurt tubs and the bits that 7-Eleven treats as fictional.

The shelves lean heavily towards European groceries, with several kinds of oats, processed and frozen meat, and enough household supplies to save a trip up the island. Card payment is accepted, which removes the usual small-shop treasure hunt for banknotes.

Fresh produce and fresh meat are not the point here. Cross the road to the fruit, vegetable and fish market for dinner ingredients, then return for wine, dairy and whatever sunscreen-adjacent emergency has developed since breakfast.

The room is airy, tidy and easy to browse without playing trolley dodgems. It suits a self-catering villa restock far better than a quick snack run, especially if breakfast requires oat milk and a yoghurt container built for commitment.
