Bamboo Beach, a cold beer and sunset over Koh Ha are the draw here. The bar sits beside LaLaanta Hideaway at the island’s far south, close to Mu Ko Lanta National Park and well away from the busier west-coast strips.
Mango lassi and fresh fruit smoothies land well in the heat. Thai dishes, casual lunches and fries cover the food side, while cocktails belong in the pool or at a beach table as the light drops. The LaLaanta Long Island Iced Tea has a local following, which is either a recommendation or a small navigational warning.
The setting does more work than the kitchen. Food is straightforward resort-bar fare, so treat dinner as an accompaniment to the sand, sea and slow afternoon.
Sun loungers on the beach are reserved for resort guests. Non-guests should claim a chair at the bar or restaurant, settle in with a drink, and keep the beach part of the plan.
