Wake Up @Lanta Hotel
Description
The garden behind Wake Up @Lanta is the bit to claim: leafy, quiet, and far removed from the lobby’s pool table and darts board. It turns a budget hotel-and-hostel hybrid into somewhere you can actually sit with a coffee after a ferry day.
Rooms range from shared-bath options to larger private rooms with fridges, air conditioning and strong Wi-Fi. The better rooms feel airy and modern; A1 opens straight onto the lobby, so choose further back if hallway noise bothers you. Some rooms have no windows, and soundproofing is thin.
The roadside position is handy for scooter hire, convenience stores, restaurants and the beach, with the pier close enough to avoid a grand expedition involving luggage and tropical optimism. Tuk-tuks pass along the main road for anyone travelling without wheels.
The front cafe does proper coffee-and-cake duty, while the hotel itself is strongest for backpackers and long-stay budget travellers who value a sociable base over polished resort theatre. The rear garden is the place to disappear with a book once the pool cues start clacking indoors.
