Wanna's Sea View
Description
Banana shakes arrive thick, cold and made from fruit alone – no sugar, no ice, no fluorescent syrup pretending to be mango. Fresh coffee, ginger smoothies, samosas, spring rolls and fruit pancakes cover the useful stretch between a beach walk and sunset beers.
The tables look across the bay near Saladan, with islands on the horizon at high tide and tiny crabs taking over the exposed sand at low tide. Kingfishers work the trees by the shore, while the resident birds gather for scraps with the quiet determination of regulars who know the menu.
Wanna’s has hammocks, covered seating for rain, a proper little bar and enough space to settle in. The art on the walls is Wanna’s own, which gives the place more character than another beach shack decorated by a wholesaler.
Bring a laptop if you need to get work done without staring at four white walls. This is for slow afternoons, a cold beer at sunset and anyone who rates a sea view above polished concrete and thumping bass.
