White House Café
Description
Fresh-ground espresso is the point at White House Café, a small air-conditioned stop with an unusually long coffee list for its size. The Americano, cappuccino and iced lattes have proper bean-and-grinder treatment, which remains a pleasingly rare bit of engineering on Koh Lanta.
Breakfast stays simple and cheap: waffles or pancakes piled with fresh fruit, filling sandwiches, and a yogurt fruit bowl that does not pretend granola is a personality. The cacao lands on the less-sugary side, while caramel coffee and white chocolate macchiato cover the opposite end of civilisation.
The room is tiny, quiet and easy to miss, tucked behind a modest frontage. Wi-Fi and cold air make it useful for a coffee break between beach missions, though it is not built for a laptop colony with twelve chargers and a podcast.
Food availability changes, so treat coffee as the dependable target and breakfast as a bonus worth checking before a hungry detour. The fruit waffles are the strongest argument for lingering once the espresso has done its job.
