Description
Bamboo bungalows sit a few metres from the quiet end of Klong Dao Beach, with fishing boats beyond the neighbouring reggae bar. The Deluxe Sea View rooms have the better outlook; the smaller huts are built for sleeping, showering and escaping back onto the balcony.
Cold showers, fans and compact interiors set the terms. Pack light if sharing a bungalow, because two large bags can turn the floor into a luggage-based escape room. The beach has soft sand, calm space and shade under the trees until mid-afternoon.
Rann’s restaurant earns a stop even without a room key. Seafood curry and grilled fish suit a sunset table, while the breakfast is firmly committed to eggs in their many forms. Ma runs the place with enough character to make the beachside setting feel less interchangeable.
Stay here for a short, low-cost beach break with bare feet and few plans. Long-stay comfort seekers need more room, air-conditioning and hot water; Rann Chalet is for the person who thinks a private bamboo balcony beats another identical hotel corridor.
